The SGAUS Journal

Overview


The SGAUS Journal is an official publication of the State Guard Association of the United States, Inc. This publication, along with The SGAUS Bulletin, is one of the many benefits of membership in the SGAUS. Membership includes a one-year subscription to The SGAUS Journal at no charge.

The SGAUS Journal is packed full of News from state defense forces around the country as well as Association News, Military History, and many other items of interest.

Readers of this magazine are especially impressed with the "Perspectives" section which provides a forum for opinions on a variety of subjects. It is hoped that the "Perspectives" section will provoke thought and discourse on a variety of topics throughout the year. The opinions expressed are those of the authors, and publication of any article does not suggest the approval or endorsement of the SGAUS.

State organizations or individuals desiring to have items considered for publication in The SGAUS Journal should send those items to the SGAUS National Office. Submissions may be mailed, facsimiled, or e-mailed. Articles should be either typed single spaced or sent on an IBM formatted diskette (WordPerfect, Word (generic), or ASCII format preferred). Please be sure to mark the envelope "Floppy Disk Enclosed" for USPC x-ray machines will delete data from disks.. Submissions may be handwritten if printed legibly.

Photographs must be clearly identified, including any individuals. Permission to use an individual's facial view must accompany the photograph. All copy and photographs submitted will become property of the SGAUS and will not be returned unless accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelop and a written request for the return of specific items.

The SGAUS reserves the right to edit copy used for publication and does not assume any responsibility for accuracy of content. Opinions expressed are those of the author. Publication of any article does not suggest the approval or endorsement of the SGAUS.

Articles and news items are accepted any time throughout the year and may be published on this web site prior to being published in the Journal or the Bulletin.
