mobilized to respond to natural and man-made disasters. Military and

Individuals with MEMS qualification
will gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively manage a
comprehensive emergency management program and will achieve operational
understanding of all basic tenets of emergency management, including
mitigation, preparedness, emergency response, and recovery.
As an added benefit, MEMS
Academy graduates will be able to network and exchange ideas with the
nation’s leading emergency management and homeland security professionals.
Since the program’s
inception in 1998, hundreds of professionals from the various U.S. military
branches, state guards and other military and civilian organizations have
earned the specialized MEMS qualification!
